This obviously does not affect all laptops. The best advise I can give you is to get the best warranty that you can afford because with all elecronics there is no way to know when it will go bad. Has anyone esle run across this and found a replacement connector. I let my warrenty contract expire so now they want big bucks for a new mother board again, even though the defective parts could be only a few dollars. Thank you for your time.
