CES opened today for the press. My first event was CES Unveiled. This is where several companies get together to show off their stuff to the press to give them a chance to write about it before the actual show starts.
There were no lack of companies at CES Unveiled. It took more than 2 hours just to stop by and talk to each. Part of that was because of the huge number of press that were attending. Everywhere I went I was being jostled by someone.
There were only a few companies that I spent time with this year. The first one was LG. There came out with a new Cellphone that I wanted to check out. This phone is dubbed by many as the iPhone killer. While it is a cool phone I personally felt it lacked many of the iPhones best features. For instance the screen on the LG phone is much smaller than the iPhone and the installed memory in the LG phone is only about 100 MB and the iPhone comes in 8 and 16 GB models

The next company I stopped by was Vestalife. This company makes iPod accessories. In fact, there were probably half a dozen or more companies at CES Unveiled that were showing some sort of iPod accessories. It almost felt like MACWORLD. Anyways, the Vestalife ladybug caught my attention because of the cool design and from what I could tell in a crowded and noisy room it even sounded good.

Next I stopped by and saw Human Touch. This company was showing a massage chair that did just about everything. It was really nice to be able to sit down and relax for a bit while the chair worked on my tight muscles. Unfortunately, the chair sells for about $4000. This is a bit out of my price range, but maybe the company will send me one for a review.

After that I went over to E-detail which was showing off a unique Tablet PC which has a screen on each side. This made it possible for you to give presentations without having to crowd around one screen or constantly turn your laptop around so everyone can see what you are talking about. There is a lot of potential here and I hope they continue to innovate and make this a great product.
The rest of the companies also offered a lot of innovative products and you can see them all by watching the following videos. I must apologize in advance. I was in a hurry when I took them so they are not the best.
