		<description>Just to note... That trapdoor and tube mystery is actually the access door and waste ink tube.

The tubing leads from the priming/cleaning pump (at the front of the printer) to a tank full of absorbent padding which soaks up the waste ink until the dreaded &quot;service required&quot; pops up.

You can see what I mean on the wasteink.co.uk site where there&#039;s a guide on modifying the R285 (The UK version of the R280/R290)..</description>

Also when I printed I used the CD printing software that came with the printer, is that what you are using? With those two things covered I never experienced any problems, you may want to print a calibration CD, which can be done through said software.</description>
